I just wanted to show you my very first experiment in painting furniture. This was a little table in rosewood which never seemed to fit anywhere and as I ended up with it in my bedroom where it just stuck out I decided to be brave and have a go at painting and distressing it. I am pleased with how it turned out and think it looks so much better, so much so that it has now moved into pride of place in the living room.
I used Craig and Rose chalk paint in Moritake cream over a primer coat of eggshell and after sanding and distressing with a sanding block used Rustoleum clear wax to finish and give it a slight shine, Voila from eyesore to eyecatching in just a few brushstrokes, I am now hooked on painting furniture, Bye for now Maria
